Julia Alejandra Gentile was born in Mar del Plata, Argentina in1956.

 She is a self taught artist who has been creating art for over four decades. Throughout her life, she has had close contact with nature and this has been dominant in her expressions.

  Julia has led an inexhaustible search for the medium that would convey nature's raw beauty.

The color that dominates her compositions is ethereal and transparent allowing a glimpse of light to peek through, the figurative from the abstract, the abstract from the figurative. She pushes the envelope with her use of acrylics, varnishes, textures, drippings, silk and organic materials.

Julia, and her family enjoy dual residency in  Miami and Columbia, where nature and inspiration abound.
