Alberto & Davide Dona

Alberto and Davide Donà are celebrated Murano glass artists whose work combines generations of Venetian tradition with contemporary innovation.
Alberto Donà began working with glass at the age of thirteen, apprenticing under many of Murano's master glassmakers and gaining international experience in Venezuela. Influenced by the renowned maestro Nane Ferro, he established his own furnace in the 1970s and became known for his vibrant colors and monumental glass sculptures. His career includes a solo exhibition in London and the creation of lighting for the Hiroshima Memorial Museum.
Davide Donà joined the family studio in 1998 after beginning his training in a paperweight furnace. He further refined his craft through advanced studies on San Servolo Island, assisting masters Davide Salvadore and Pino Signoretto, and later worked with the Abate Zanetti School, specializing in contemporary mirrored glass.
Together, Alberto and Davide create exceptional works that honor the rich heritage of Murano glass while pushing the medium in bold and innovative directions.
