About the Artist
Julia Alejandra Gentile was born in Mar del Plata, Argentina. She lives in Miami with her family since the year 2000.
From the time she was a child and throughout her life, contact with art has focused her sight on the inexhaustible search for the medium: acrylics, varnishes, textures, drippings, stamps, imprints, have found their place in a painting of suggesting expressions and vibrant colors; where simplicity disassembles the canvas, the gestural weight, allowing a glimpse of light, allowing a glimpse of soul.
The color that dominates a composition of multiple perspectives, many looks, transparencies, the figurative from the abstract, the abstract from the figurative.
A look into the outside and inside, into the distance, and into the closeness of affection.
“Don’t believe what your eyes are telling you. All they show is limitation. Look with your understanding. Find out what you already know and you will see the way to fly.” - Richard Bach (Jonathan Livingston Seagull)
